COVID-19 UPDATE

With the recent concerns surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we are committed to the health and safety of our patients, employees, and communities.

 

As of Tuesday 3/17/2020, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommended all routine eye examinations be postponed to a further date, in order to slow the transmission of COVID-19 through our communities (https://www.nysoa.org/covid-19-resources).

 

Effective immediately, Stellar Vision Optometry will be rescheduling all routine exams per CDC guidelines. We will remain OPEN with limited hours and Dr. McHugh will be available to triage and see all urgent and emergent eye care issues.  We will also be available with answering phone calls for any questions or concerns you many have.   

 

 

What can I expect?

 

1) If you are scheduled for your annual routine examination we will reschedule you starting April 4th.

 

2) If you have an emergent eye issue, please call and we will schedule you an appointment one-on-one with Dr. McHugh

 

3) If you need to replace glasses or order a contact lens supply, please contact us via telephone or text and we will assist you 

 

4) If you need to pick up glasses or contacts that were ordered, please contact us via telephone or text to scheduled an appointment time for pick up  

 

5) I you need refills on medications or eye drops, please contact us via telephone or text and we can transmit refills electronically to your pharmacy

 

Although we plan to continue eye care to urgent cases, we kindly ask symptomatic patients considered "high risk" to postpone eye examinations and contact their doctor's office or emergency department.
